So like I said, we got our new apartment. No more magical hotel bed but I think the blessings of the apartment for outweigh the bed. Our apartment is super cute and it is nice that it is just us in this fairly large apartment. There is a picture of the truck that dropped off the furniture where we were left to bring everything in on our own. Lets just say we were a little unorganized haha but things turned out great!!! We were able to call the elders to help us get everything in. Super nice because 6 elders came to help us out and they moved everything in in about 10 minutes. It was amazing. Later the Zone leaders came to help us out to put our bunk beds together and our kitchen table and other little things. IT was coming along super great but the Zone Leaders had to leave early and they hadn't quite finished yet so we left them with the key to our apartment and they came back later that night to put everything together. It was pretty sweet if I do say so myself! They even vacuumed our apartment. What a wonderful way to come home after a day of moving and doing the Lord's work. We are so blessed.
The apartment is great. It is so nice having our own fridge and over. We came home one night from working and we decided to make some brownies for a lady from church! Such freedom to do what we want! Love it. (We also may have eaten a few of those brownies in the process...YUMMY!) Shout out to all my BYU-I girls and our late night brownie adventures!!!! I really love all those great memories we have. I feel like my companion knows you all because I talk about you all so much! Love it!

Tuesday 6/25
Today we had an appointment and it was a super hot day! Super hot. It probably had nothing on the heat that Elder Jarvis is experiencing but man it was hot! We were in this trailer park that is known as the Mexican Colony because it seriously feels like you are walking into a different country. Anyways, we are teaching this lesson. It stinks because Greeley stinks( the cow slaughter is right down the road) and we are trying our best to stay focused. I don't think I have ever been so sweaty in my life but we still have to stay strong and focus on the work. The lesson goes well and we set up an appt for Friday! Friday we go back and it isn't quite as hot but it wasn't much better and as we are leaving the appt the lady gives sister smith and I each a bag of refried beans. OH man only in a Spanish speaking mission! I love it. The people are so loving and so caring. This lady barely has anything and because we are sharing a message of Christ and she feels that it is helping her family, she makes sacrifices to bless our lives. I love it. It makes me want to be a better person. Always willing to give others what I have. it is amazing!

Other amazing experiences that I have been experiencing the last few weeks.

There have been a few people from church that are coming up to me and are so amazed with my progress. I feel so much love from them. They saw me in the beginning when I wouldn't hardly ever speak to now I can have conversations and laugh and joke. IT is so much fun and the members can see it. Our recent convert that was baptized in April was talking to us the other day and she was just so proud and so amazed with how far I have come. We were helping her prepare her first sacrament talk and I was just so happy and proud of her. She started sharing with Hna Smith about my progress and I almost started crying. I have seen a lot of the progress I have made but hearing it from someone else really made it real. I am so amazed at how much the Lord helps us and provides the way for us.

Another cool experience. This week I was really struggling with finding a desire. I felt exhausted and it seemed like everything was slowly falling apart. It was super stressful not having a set place to live and everything with that was just hectic. One morning I was just overwhelmed. We had just done our usual 2 mile run and the entire time I just couldn't stop focusing on these negative thoughts. We got home after our workout and I just sat in our living room and was writing in my journal. I was looking for ways that I could improve my efforts as a missionary and I was reading a little in the scriptures and also in a book called, "Our Search for Happiness." Seriously recommend it! Way good. Anyways, I just felt like my prayers were answered. I realized what had changed since I first got here and I realized that I have gradually let things slip. I made some goals to improve and it has been amazing to see what the Lord has done to help me realize that I am doing the right things! I love it :) Heavenly Father truly cares for us and He will answer our prayers. Have faith and trust in Him. We cannot do all things but through Him all things are possible.

Well I ran out of time! I love you all so very much. I am so grateful to be on a mission. I am still working on getting some letters out. I ran out of envelopes so we are going to the store after this. I love you all so much! I love being a missionary. I love life!!!!

Les amo,
Hna Jarvis
