There's not too much to say today. I spent most of the week in fear that I'd get transferred ha ha. But nonetheless, I am a missionary and we are always working! It's mostly that my fingers don't really wanna type everything...
We are still trying to visit all our members and it is still absolutely amazing! Yesterday we went to a place called Scorze. It takes about an hour and 15 minutes to get there on the bikes. We decided to just visit all the members that were up there. We stopped at one members house to share a message and she invited us for dinner! Yea! It was so yummy and the company was even better! There were 2 members from our ward and we had a lovely talk about charity and love. We could feel the spirit so strong. It was really sweet when we left the sisters both thanked us for the spirit we brought to the home. One of them said "the angels came tonight". It was just precious :) I was smiling the whole ride home!
It is amazing how much focusing your life on Christ and other's can change who you are. I don't think I'll reach perfection in this life but I can see who I want to be. We have been focusing a lot on the Christ like attributes and it has been a wonderful experience. The mission is a great time to separate yourself from the world and when you're struggling you learn to find comfort in the things that will give you lasting comfort. Prayer and scripture study are such great! I'm so grateful to be learning now while I'm young where I can turn for peace but I know that anyone with a sincere heart can learn the same things every day. This gospel is a gospel of love and opportunity. It shows us how we can make ourselves better every day by not focusing on ourselves! So great! I am learning so much from the people here in Italy. They truly have my heart!
Oh! The subject line! I forgot. So last week was a great week for many reasons that are just now coming back to me as I run out of time. Oh well. On Thurs I had an epiphany after a great encounter with a couple Jehovah's Witnesses. It really was great! They were nice and I got to realize that I can bear my testimony in Italian. And even if that's all I can do then that's enough! I decided that day I was no longer afraid to talk to people. Learning a language comes with time but when I need to speak I will.
I love and care you you all so much and I hope you know how much I appreciate your emails and letters!! Vi voglio bene! Take care!
Love,
Sorella Jarvis
This picture is from a trip to the park. We had a lesson with our friend Caroline and her daughter Honor. This was Honor's first time in a swing!
