Buenos tardes: update for Meagan 7/15/13

Hi everyone!!! So the mission emailed us our address wrong and so here is the correct address. The only thing that was missing was the suite number :)

This week has been full of ups and downs. Hermana Vargha and I have really been working hard to find new people to share the Gospel with and that is not an easy job. We have been knocking on doors, talking to as many people as possible, and visiting with the members of the branch to ask for referrals. Every night I fall into bed exhausted. I am pretty sure I am already alseep when my head hits the pillows.

There was one day that I was having more difficulties than usual and I was just feeling overwhelmed. I realized that the only way to survive the day was if I spent every free minute on my knees asking for help and guidance. It wasd amazing the difference that it made. I felt so much more at ease and have you ever heard that Footsteps poem where it is Christ and a man walking in the sand and sometimes there were 2 sets of footprints and other times there is only 1. And it was because when there was the set of 1 was when Christ was carrying the man. That is truly what this day felt like. That there was only one set of footprints because my Savior was carrying me throughout the day and what an amazing feeling it was. It was probably one of the days that I have grown the most in my mission. I dont even know what was making it so hard but I know that I needed to truly understand the power of prayer. Heavenly Father is listening and He is waiting for us to humble ourselves and rely on Him and He will provide the way for you. This day we found 2 people who are interested in the Gospel. One was in Spanish and one was in English. Heavenly Father guided us to where we needed to be and it was amazing to see how involved He was in leading us to these people. I know Heavenly Father hears our prayers. I know that He knows what we can handle and what we cannot. He shows unto us our weaknesses so that they will be made strong through Him who has all power. If you are ever stuggling, ever doubting, or ever worried remember there is one who knows all things and through prayer He can reveal these truths unto you of what you need to do. There are answers that are available to us all. God loves you. I know it. You have a Savior, Jesus Christ, who is worried for you and has such a special place in His heart for you all. Trust in him. Say your prayers. Find your purpose and fulfil it.

We may not have had a bunch of sucess this week according to lots of lessons but I know this week I have learned a lot of the importance of being converted to the Lord. It was one of my harder weeks but I have strengthen my testimony so much.

On Friday we were able to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity again!!! SO MUCH FUN!!! The house that we worked on a few months back is just about finished and it is amazing to see. The walls are up, there is a roof, they are just about finished with the sprinkler system and we were working on painting the walls. It is amazing to see what some organizations working hard to help others and to be apart of that is an amazing blessing.

In 2 weeks I have to give a 10 minute talk in Spanish. Needless to say I am freaking out but it is super awesome. I was grateful that the branch president let us know in advance. Last time I had literally no time to prepare and this time I have a few weeks.

Our branch is growing!!! It is really amazing to see what our new branch president is doing to get everyone involved in the branch. They are working to get everyone a calling and it is making a difference. Love it!!!!

I love being here. Things are hard sometimes but the blessings far outweigh the hard times. I am learning so much everyday :)

I love you all so much. Thanks for all your emails and encouragement. You are all amazing. Stay strong.

Con carino,
Hna Jarvis
