I love you! (just sayin...)
So I never really have very much time to write but I'm trying! haha. So the long and short of the story last week: We had to go to Milan on Tues for New Missionary Training. We were supposed to catch our train at 5:45 but we missed it. Even though we already bought tickets :/ So then we got more tickets for a fast train which was more expensive but would get us there on time. We took the train, got there, and had a great day with all my friendzies from the MTC. I just love them all :)
We were rescued by the travelling APs a little bit later :) We got home around 7-- tired, starving, and in need of a bath and change of clothes. BUT we had a meeting and English class to go to at church. So we brushed our teeth and jumped on our bikes. We got to English class looking all kinds of wonderful. Our ward mission leader told everyone what happened and then one of our students left and got us pizza while we weren't in the room. It was the best pizza and fanta I'd ever had! It was the greatest act of kindness I have probably ever experienced in my life, or at least at the time it truly meant so much to me! I had met this sister, who's not a member, just one week before. Now we're the best of friends. She doesn't really speak English and I don't really speak Italian but we always understand each other. She's my favorite :)
So...that was longer than expected. Anywho! This week had a lot of positives too! We have been working with some amazing people and their loving spirits have already changed my life! I've never realized how much I needed to be here to meet these people at this time so they could change my life so much. It's been a wonderful and powerful experience! This week a lot of my personal study was on the Christ like attributes section in Preach My Gospel. If we are trying to make ourselves better or fix the flaws we think we have then we need look no further than our Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the perfect example of everything good and holy that I want to emulate in my life :)
I love our English class so much! yesterday we had a Fourth of July party at one of the students houses. It was the best! We had everything! Hamburgers and hotdogs, mashed potatoes and fry sauce, pickles and crystal light! So yummy! Not the same, but maybe better :) These people are so precious and they work so hard to learn English. They were all assigned different random states to study and present something in English about. I talked with Laura, she was assigned Virginia (!), and I learned a lot! I loved it! She said Virginia is the most historic state (of course!) and she said the pictures were so beautiful that she has to see it one day. I was like, come to my house!
Please read the automated message at the bottom of the emails, I'd really appreciate it! It means a lot to know that if I send you an email it's just going to you and not going to be shared all over the place. Thanks! (these big group emails are fine though...)
Vi voglio bene!
Take care of yourselves and count your blessings :) Your Heavenly Father loves you!
