Hola, What a fun week it has been. 4/29/13 from Sister Meagan Jarvis

Hola, What a fun week it has been. Sister Hill is great. She pushes me to be such a great missionary and we work really hard together. We have been so busy that as soon as my head hits the pillow at night, I am out. A few weeks ago I was having trouble sleeping so I am very grateful to be totally totally exhausted by the time we get home at night. The weather has been absolutely beautiful these past few days. Tracting is so much easier when it is 70 degrees and there is a nice breeze. Yesterday it was up in the 80's... that was a little much. Especially when we go into the homes. It feels just like an oven. The worst is when you know that they are smokers... Yuck. But luckily we haven't run into too much of that. First I have to tell you about today!!!! We had the most amazing enchildadas! Mom! You would have been in heaven. Cuba made everything from scratch. Even the corn tortillas. The were in a homemade jalepeno verde sause and spanish rice. It was amazing. I am hoping that we can go over there to get some lessons soon! This past week Hna Hill and I had a super productive week. There were some Elders who spent a lot of their days tracting and they gave us about 10 referrals of spanish speaking families. A few of which we were able to contact and we have return appts for this week. It is awesome. We had a really great lesson with Santos, Juanita, y Chantae this week too. We watched the 20 minute Restoration pelicula and we were over at a members home too. It was great. Santos says that he knows that the church is true because of what he feels in his heart. What an amazing experience. Juanita is still nervous just because before a month ago she hated going to church but she loves coming now. She wants to make sure she knows enough but I think that she knows the church is true. And Chantae. She is just amazing. SHe is 11 and is super smart. She does all these fun crafts so her and I get along really well. I think she loves it too. The only thing she struggles with is getting up on time for church but little by little she is getting better!!!!! Chantae has also prayed to kn ow if the church is true and she said that she feels hope and really loves learning. She also loves Primary!!!! She already has so many new friends!!!! What a blessing. I am really excited for them. I am hoping that Santos and Juanita will get married in May and then we can have their baptisms in June. I hope we are able to do that before I leave Greeley or I would be so so sad! Yesterday we went tracting for about 2 hours. We were really bummed because we just couldnt find anyone in their homes so we just decided we would knock a few doors. Well we set up a few return appts but everyone said they were busy so we couldnt share a message. Hna Hill and I were really worried that we were not going to be able to achieve our goal of having 5 lessons for the day but we said a prayer and asked Heavenly Father for help and I felt like we needed to go visit this lady who isnt able to come to church because of her job and she actually has 2 jobs so it is really really hard to find her. Sister Earl (my old companion) and I tried to find her so many times so I was really worried we weren't going to find her. Welp we knocked on her door and she was HOME:) What a blessing and it was 15 minutes before she had to leave to pick up her son from work so we were able to share a message. She was so grateful. It was so fun to see the smile on her face when she realized that it was us at the door. She even pointed her car out to us so now we will be able to just look for her car and know if she is there or not. It was nice. We have an investigator who lives right near that Sister and we weren't planning on visiting them because we had an appt with them later on in the week. Well a few people from the family were outside and saw us and they invited us in to share a lesson with them. It was too funny. It was nice that they just invited us in. We are having a hard time helping them realize that this church is a blessing and that it is important to change and improve every day. But they are trying their best and little by little I know that they will find their way. I need to get a picture with one of the people from the family. His name is Jo Anthony and he got out of prison a little more than a month ago. He literally has half a skull. It is all beaten up and scarred. It is crazy but he is really nice and he is doing everything possible to stay out of trouble this time. He has a lot of support from his family so that is really nice. After that lesson, we have another person who is less active right in that area so we stopped by their house too and it was awesome because they were home and we were able to share a message with them... So in total yesterday we were able to get 5 lessons!!! It was great. When you do what you are supposed to and are obedient, the Lord blesses you and provides a way for you to accomplish all that you have. It was a blessing to see how everything just fell into place even when we had a couple appts fall through. It was amazing!!!! Everything else is going great!!!! Super duper great. I love the warm weather. I have been going without my ugly ankle brace and I have even been able to exercise without it. It was a blessing. Ummm... they only thing that I can think of that I want( not need) would be art supplies. Like bright paper, fun stickers, different colored pens. I have been slowing buying different art supplies but it is a very slow process. I have plenty of stamps that will last me for a while. Thank you! les quiero muchisimo!!!!! Hna Jarvis
