What a whirlwind! update for Meagan 5/28/13

I don't even think I can begin to explain all the craziness that I have experienced the last week. But what an amazing adventure it has been!

So I am training... again. And I love it. My companion is Sister Smith and she is fantastic! I love her so much already. She is from Indiana and has a great testimony of this Gospel. I am so blessed to have her as a companion. She doesn't know much Spanish so we are really relying on the Spirit but it has been a very humbling experience and I am grateful for every minute.

So Sister Hill, my first trainee, was transferred to Longmont, CO and is now serving with my MTC companion. I am super sad that we only got to work together for 6 weeks but I know that there are people she needs to find before she heads off to Argentina. I am so so so very excited for her and her upcoming adventures. She is going to be a fantastic missionary and I know she will bless the lives of many!

I don't even know where to begin, it has been so crazy.

Tuesday we learned that a new family was moving into our branch from California and we decided to call them and see if there was anything we could do to help them out. They said they had everything under control and that they would let us know if there was anything we could do. They ended up texting us at 10 that night and asking for a priesthood blessing for their son who had been sick for the last few days. And so we called our zone leaders and they came with us at 10 o clock at night to give a blessing... Man was I exhausted. I am not used to staying up past 1030. We got home at 11:10 and I was out as soon as I hit the pillow that night. But what an amazing experience to see the priesthood at work. I am so blessed to have this gospel a part of my life. And now little Jaime is all better and a super active baby boy! The Lord truly works miracles!

Saturday we had a branch activity at a beautiful, beautiful park where we enjoyed some yummy food! Had a wonderful time laughing, and playing different sports with all the little kids. I loved it so much. I am sending some pictures because they are pretty great! We had two investigators come :) One stayed for almost the entire activity! It was pretty awesome! I was so so so grateful and he is having a wonderful time getting to know the people.

Sunday was a great day! Hna Hill spoke at church and I felt like a proud mom! She was so powerful. I think it changed lives. She is gonna be missed in our branch! We also had a great lesson with a family that we are teaching! We had it at a member's home and the Spirit was so strong. I remember thinking, woah- Heavenly Father really knows what He needs to do to change the hearts of the people, because mine sure did.

Yesterday we were also out late. The airplane arrived late that had the new missionaries so everything yesterday ran late. To get our new companions if we are training we have to go to Broomfield and do some training. We had 32 new missionaries come in yesterday and so interviews also ran late because there were so many people there. We didn't finish up until 7pm, then we had dinner and we still had about 2 hours to get home. So yesterday was a long day too but it nice meeting my new companion and getting everything settled.

I am so grateful to be a missionary. I am learning so so much about myself and the things that I want to do when I come home. Every day I realize more and more the importance of having a relationship with Jesus Christ and the blessing I received from staying faithful! I am grateful for all of you who are supporting me. Thanks for all your letters! Keep them coming.

love you all!

les amo,
Hna Jarvis
