Hola Todos, 4/29/13 from Elder Jarvis

Hola Todos,
We had a down week this week, but it was still awesome. The stories are about to begin.

4/24 Today was nuts... We were heading to the stake center to do some mormon.org time. We get 1 hour a week to get on and study mormon.org or lds.org. Well we got to the church and got robbed... yepp that happened. They took my sunglasses and the keys to the church. He broke the fender on my bike. We safe though. on a side note, mormon.org has really come along ways. y'all should watch the videos. They are getting really good.

4/27 We are teaching a Pentacostal man. We have been for about 3 months now. He is a little hard headed, but he finally has said that the Book of Mormon is a good book. We just have to keep working on the testimony building parts of the Doctrine of Christ and he will be set. He really liked the back of the Book of Mormon and how it has a guia (guide). We were able to study how families can be together forever and all eternity with him. The just have to do certain things in this life for that to happen. We then read Moroni 10 with him. If you have read that chapter in depth I highly recommend that. Really spiritual.

Later that night we went to a family to talk with them. We ate dinner there and everything. Right before we left one of the kids split soda all down my leg. It was alright because everything in Arizona evaporates within seconds except sweat when we're biking ahhaha. But they are a family that has really been blessed by the restored gospel. they have changed a lot.

4/28 This past sunday was one of the best so far churchwise. I can actually follow along with the talks and the lessons now. But the best part was that we had 9... yepp 9 investigators at church. They loved it. It was great. I was sitting on the totally opposite side of the chapel then elder neves. We were sitting with 2 new families. They really enjoyed the entire thing it was great. We have return appts. set up so that they should be able to progress even more. I also had the opportunity to give the Priesthood to a recent convert. I did it in spanish. it was good, but it was hard. It was very powerful.

Later that night we were on our way to an investigator's house just to stop by. We were close to the middle of the ave and the lady and the far side sitting at a bus stop started yelling (in english) "Elders! Elders I need a prayer! Come pray with me!" She kept yelling until we biked all the way over there. She knows about the church, but isn't a member. She has had a hard life and looking for a change. She knows that Elders are Representatives of Christ and wanted us to say a prayer to bless her life. A very powerful prayer was offered and she said she felt a calm come over her. Very blessed.

EMMA Happy BIRTHDAY SOON! AND TO EVERY OTHER ONE I MISSED!

P.S. the sunglasses were my walmart ones. i'm not gonna were my new oakleys until i get a strap to keep them attached to me at all times. Smart in hind sight.

Thanks for the packages they are great. But food isn't the best idea to send. it will melt.

We will get to call mother's day. When do you want me to call?
