Più Forza Tu Dammi update for Jessica 11/27/13

More Holiness Give Me...that's the goal, right? Right. Every day is an opportunity to make ourselves better. To repent of our faults that each of us has but it doesn't mean we're horrible people-- if we're trying. I love this song in Italian because it actually translates to "Give me more strength." God, our loving Heavenly Father, wants to help us in any way that we can but we need to put forth the effort and ask. Even in the hardest of moments in life there is a reason-- there is something that can be learned from the situation. One of the hardest things to learn is humility. Kneeling down and simply asking for the strength that we need.

This week has been absolutely amazing!! Yesterday we had a lesson with Elenora. She is a new investigator that we taught for the first time last week. She has been attending institute and already has the triplet of the Book of Mormon, D&C, and the Pearl of Great Price. This weekend she had the amazing opportunity to go to Sardegna where there was major flooding. She was able to meet lots of members and helping with the Mormon Helping Hands for disaster relief. She was able to see so many people who's lives were invested in solely material things and the exact contrast people who were happy just because the made it out with their family intact. She has noticed a difference in the members since coming to the church. A "constant hope" if you will, that comes with truly understanding who you are and why we're here. This life is a time of trial, happiness, sorrow, success, but it is only a glimpse in the grand scheme of things. Having peace and knowing everything is going to work out comes with the hope and true comprehension of the plan that we accepted even before this life.

I'm so fortunate to be a missionary right here and right now. I love the people I am serving so very much and am so happy to be staying in Bergamo for 6 more weeks! Take care of yourselves and be kind to others :)

Vi voglio bene,
Sorella Jarvis

And I'm sorry I haven't been so great at getting back to emails... Family's first and there's a lot of them :)
