Buon Giorno!!
Today is just the most wonderful day! Every day is really just so great when you're a missionary! It doesn't mean that the trials don't exist but I can Always find the answers I need in the scriptures, prayer, or my wonderful companions. This week was a week of vision and practice. We strived hard to see what is going to come of our cute little branch here in Bergamo and to figure out what our purpose is here. We are missionaries and we are called to teach. We're not the smartest or the brightest or most eloquent but I have never felt so much love in my life.
Sometimes we are here to help people for the first time who've never heard the vangelo before or sometimes it's someone who's gone astray for a while and needs a reminder... As long as you love them everything will work out. We had an Amazing experience Yesterday. We were making a few calls to set up some appts and I just so happened to call a member who I love to see if we could stop by. She asked what time and all of a sudden I just said "un mezzoretta" or 30 minutes. It just blurted right out of my mouth and I expected her to say no. But to my surprise she said perfect. We hadn't planned for this lesson though so we weren't sure what message to share. But then I remembered a video from the D&C videos, the John Tanner story. This family is having some major health issues right now with multiple members. By the end we were all crying. She told us that the night before she was in so much pain the only thing she could think to do was kneel down and pray. She was starting to lose faith. She was feeling alone, forsaken. She said when we asked to come by she knew that was her answer, that was her sign. She needed a reminded that we still have the trials but God is Always listening. He Always cares and sometimes He places little reminders right in our living room on a Tuesday afternoon.
We never know when we can be the answer to someone's prayers. You don't have to be a missionary either :) Each and every one of us is great in the eyes of our Father! I love my little branch here and am so lucky to have the chance to serve here. I hope that you are all doing well. Take care!!
Vi voglio tanto bene,
Sorella Jarvis
