Buenos dias!!!
This week has been a wonderful week. There is so much to do here in the Louisville Ward! I love it. We have been teaching up a storm. It has been amazing. Sister Woessner is an amazing companion!!! She teaches the gospel with such power and has been an example to me in so many things. I learn from her every day!
On Tuesday night after a really crazy transfer day we met with a young family and taught a lesson about the Atonement. The Spirit was so strong and I really learned a lot. On my mission I have learned so much about the Atonement and I am so grateful for the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for me and everyone one of you. The husband was really worried that he wouldn't be worthy of forgiveness and it was amazing to be able to bear testimony on the healing power of the Atonement. I know that we can be healed. That we can receive strength and that we can be given hope that things will turn out.
The day that Hermana Mangum left for Greeley I got a package in the mail from her family. It is my favorite quote for General Conference. "It's impossible to fail when we do our best and when we are on the Lord's errand." -M. Russell Ballard. Hermana Mangum has had hers for a few weeks and it says that "You must be the rock the river cannot wash away." These two quotes go together so well I think. I have really be trying to develop the qualities of becoming the rock that the river cannot wash away. And I have been trying to make sure that I am on the Lord's errand and that I am doing my best because then I can take faith in the fact that I cannot fail. Being a missionary is tough but the blessings that come from being a missionary are far more worth it.
Gabbie and Emma- I bet you will love this. In our mission we are asked to get 10 hours of service a week and on Saturday, Sister Woessner and I volunteered at a place call Rocky Mountain Riding Therapy where we work with horses. It is an organization that helps people with different types of disabilities. We learned a lot about the horses and what we need to do when we are helping out in a lesson. It is great.
Well my time has come to an end. I love you all! And will be praying for you this week. Stay strong. Share the Gospel. And love life.
Con carino,
Hermana Jarvis
