Buon Giorno tutti!
(Good Day Everyone!)
So the rumors are true, I made it to Italy! It was a rough trip, let me tell you! Our flight from Dallas to London was late which made it so we missed our connection from London to Milan. We were in the London airport from 9 am London time to 6 pm London time. We had not bathed since Tuesday at 4 am either and the poor elders were all in suits. There were 23 of us in the airport together all going to Milan and we met up with 10 elders on their way to the South Africa MTC. It was crazy! 30+ missionaries just chilling all day long in the London airport! Love it!
We finally made it to Milan around 10 and got to our hotel around 11. President Wolfgramm and Sorella Wolfgramm were so amazing! They were a welcomed site after the long trip we'd had. I loved them instantly! Upon our arrival at the hotel we got to have our first Italian pizza. It sure was different and it sure was good!
So. Italy. Well Italy is very hot! I have never, ever, ever sweat so much in my entire life! I am also so hot! My first city is Mestre (aka Venice! That's right!). We haven't had the chance to go to Venice yet but we're hoping to for next pday. On Friday we had a lesson with Caroline who is so great! At the end she was like, Ok now we need to get everyone to take these lessons together! She invited us to a gethering of her and some friends and I am so excited to see what comes from it!
We're on bikes here and Mestre and some things (like church and most of our investigators) are about an hour away. Needless to say, I wasn't sitting too happy for about...uh...well it's still not too great but it's muuuucchh better!
The first time we went grocery shopping on Friday it took about an hour to get 4 things. In case you're wondering what the subject line is all about it is referring to the fact that there is no ranch here. That's right, died. Don't worry, I bought a bottle of soy sauce to soothe my aching heart!
So on Monday we had a zone conference in Verona and we got to take the train! Yea for taking trains across the country side of Italy! Just picking a big truck with lots and lots of cows and that's what it feels like haha It's so hot! Well I got to go to Verona so that's amazing! Cross that off my bucket list. The whole 1.5 hour ride back we talked to this cute Indian couple who are getting married in Nov. They actually invited us to their wedding! So presh!
Also. Everyone here is tri-lingual. Most of the time I feel like I'm in India or Little Africa too. Of the lessons we've had so far all the people have been from Nigeria, Chad, Ghana, and China. Not a single Italian. Haha. Welcome to Italy! It's great!
The Lord's work is moving forward! We are all needed at home or abroad to share with our brothers and sisters the love of our Heavenly Father! Think of how many lost sheep there are and how much they need this gospel too!
I love you all! Keep the faith!
