What a Week! Update for Ian 11-23-15

Ian's new district

Eldorado Lake Mead Zone
This week has been awesome! Being a missionary is the best!

Since my companion is District Leader I get to go exchanges a lot!
I love exchanges! Getting to know somebody in a day is awesome! You
can learn so much from people in a day as well! Tuesday I went on
exchanges with Elder Patio! He is  awesome love him to death! He taught me  to
be grateful for things I have, to cherish my mission because it goes
by quick, and to act outward instead of inward when things go wrong! I
also went on exchanges with him last night because Elder Hayes had to do
a baptismal interview and while we were street contacting I looked
down and found $6 on the ground! Heck yeah!!! I split it with Elder
Patio. It will probably go towards my lunch today ha ha ha !

Miracle of the week! A family we have been teaching came to
church yesterday!!!!! We have been teaching them since the week I got
here! They have been progressing so much but they could never commit
to come to church! I was a little worried when sacrament started and
they still didn't show up. But right when we lost hope, they come
strolling into the overflow in the cultural hall! Elder Hayes elbowed
me and I looked over and saw them. Biggest grin on my face! So excited
for them! Can't wait to for them to progress to baptism!

This week we got a car too! I know the church is true! Since we
have got the car we have been able to go on splits for the first time.
Well we did it twice! On splits I've learned that I can talk a lot
ha ha ha . But I've also learned that I can teach the gospel. That I can
share a message with someone and brighten their day without my
companion pushing me to do it. Elder Hayes has actually taught me a
lot! Just strengthens my testimony that this church is true!

Through the miracles I have seen in the almost 2 months I've been
out my testimony has been strengthened so much. I KNOW that God is our
Heavenly Father and that Jesus is the Christ. That the Book of Mormon
is the fullness of the everlasting gospel. That applying the
principles it teaches with the principles the Holy Bible teaches you
will come to a perfect knowledge that he does live, he is real, and he
cares and loves YOU! I know that this is true through applying what
I've learned into my life and receiving a confirmation through the
Holy Ghost. I know that if you read the Book of Mormon with an open
heart, with true sincerity you will also receive a confirmation
through the Holy Ghost that Jesus is the Christ, Joseph Smith is a
prophet, and that the priesthood Jesus Christ used to perform
miracles has been restored to the Earth.
