Email for 10-26-15

This week was a long week. I've been focusing on bettering my street
contacts so I don't sound like a robot saying the same thing over and
over again. It's getting better slowly but surely. We tracted into two
families that were taking lessons from past missionaries but we
couldn't get into contact with them. We found them! Set up return
appointments and hoping we can teach them this coming week.Yesterday
we went in on street contacting. We talked to everybody. In 2 hours of
proselyting we had 16 street contacts and we do about 13 a day.
       I lead my first lesson this week. Basically I just asked
someone to pray and said the first thing about our topic. Which my
trainer chose to be the law of chastity. It's only awkward if you make
it awkward. Knowing me I didn't make it awkward.
      A pretty big miracle this week!! One of our investigators came
to mutual Wednesday. He went out about learned about guns. How a gun works
and then how to recycle bullets and reload them. He said he loved it.
Today they are feeding the homeless and he wants to come to that too.
   The weather has started to cool off. It's super nice. Makes
missionary work a lot better. Than apparently since the temperatures
is dropping all the plants blooms again. So if there any plants out
here my companion is gonna have fun with his allergies.
 Friday we had a trainer\trainee meeting. It was pretty fun. We split
up trainers went with a zone leader and the trainees went with the
other zone leader. All the trainees gave there first training. Mine was
on how to begin teaching. I planned it out and didn't follow the plan
at all. We had to make it to about 4 minutes to learn time management
and if we went over we got cut off and the next person went. It was
fun. I did about 3:45ish. I was super nervous the whole time but I was
told I did a good job.
   Another missionary shared with me this quote "God can't guide our
feet till we move." Boom! God can't help us till we act, till we take
a step in faith knowing he will help. This has been the secret to me
bettering my street contacts. Just start talking and the lord will put
words into your mouth to help that person. It is has been super hard
doing that. Just starting the conversation. But every time I have the
lord has blessed me with the spirit even if they said no. I did my
part. When I don't do my part and when I don't talk to every person I
can tell that I might have missed out on bringing that person salvation.
Take that step of faith no matter how hard and you will be guided to
where you need to be or what you need say. Just do it and the lord
will be on your side I can promise you that.
