Allora. update for Jessica 12-11-13

Gioisca al mondo! (Joy to the World)

Yea for the spirit of Christmas! It may be cold but I sure love the smell in the air and I must say, Bergamo is the most enthusiastic place I have ever lived. There are lights everywhere! It doesn't hurt that we're in centro either where all the fun is :)

This week we had some burns, some tears, some gelato, lessons of sacrifice, a little bit of panic, and a lot of Spirit. While pouring some burning water this week my companion burned her finger pretty bad. But thanks to the handy dandy skills I learned from Mrs. A and my super sweet first aid kits from Tracy (shout out to Tracy:) we got it all taken care of. It didn't hurt anymore after that first day :)

This week we had some very difficult trials, and being the Sorella Jarvis that I am, I cried. We have some really Amazing people that we're teaching right now. To be baptized people have to make sacrifices and sometimes they're very hard. For each person it's a little different. But if we go to the Lord for the answers to our problems He will direct us for good. I know that we are being tested a lot right now because these people are so great! Satan doesn't want them to be baptized. All the more reason we need to prepare ourselves and to prepare them to face the trials of life.

Lessons for this week:
1.Boiling water hurts. It doesn't take 2 people to fill a hot water bottle.
2. Don't ice burns.
3. Learn at least one Christmas song on the piano to appease Relief Society Leaders
4. Gelato is still good in the winter.
5. When you share a room with 3 people, if one gets sick they all get sick
6. I still love Bolivian food :)

So I want to know? Who are you working with this Holiday season? Whose Holiday are you trying to brighten? Tell me about your missionary stories??

Love Always,

Sorella Jarvis
