This week has been another wonderful week. It has probably been the longest week too. The days have been so long. It is so weird. But we have seen a lot of amazing things.
On Thursday we were able to go to Michael and Carol's home. They are a family that have been affected by the flooding and it is so sad. They have been living in a hotel for more than a month now and at every turn they keep finding out about more things that are going wrong. Mold is taking over but have no fear missionaries are here. There were 10 of us there this time and we went straight to work. But before we got to work, Carol shared some amazing experiences with us about how she has been able to see the hand of the Lord in her life. She said that since we have come into her life, she has had more joy and happiness in her life that hasn't been there in a long time. It was sooo sweet. I love her so much and have enjoyed spending time with their family. That day we spent time moving tile, tearing out drywall and insulation, digging holes to put in drainage pipes. We are trying to help in any way that we can and I think they are finally getting to the point that they can start remodeling. Tomorrow we are planning on going over and we will hopefully be putting walls up and floors down, and some painting. It amazes me to see how strong they are and they are so willing to help out us missionaries. I hope that I will be lifelong friends with Carol and that one day she will be able to learn about the gospel.
(This is a picture of Carol's backyard. The elevation is almost 7000 ft... I feel like I am walking in the sky!)
(This is on Carol's rock wall beside their home. I am freaking out because Hna Mangum almost fell trying to get into the picture...)
This week we were also able to eat dinner with the couple who has the corvettes that I spoke about a little bit ago. They said that when I come back and visit I can take it for a test drive so we all know where I will be next summer!!!! Road trip to Colorado!!!! I love this family so much. They are super sweet and they really have helped me a lot on my mission. I am so grateful for the families in my ward who have helped Hna Mangum and I. They have been such a blessing to us.
We also had stake conference this past weekend. They called a new stake presidency so that was pretty cool. There were 2 general authorities who came and we got to hear them speak. It was pretty neat. The stake president who was just released is going to be a mission president in Russia next year. So crazy. But he and his wife are amazing so I know that they will do great things there.
Well, yet again I am running out of time. The 2 hours just seems to be getting shorter and shorter. Thanks everyone for your letters and emails. I sure do appreciate it!
Love you all and hope you have a wonderful week.

Hermana Jarvis
Hna Mangum and I in our "Mormon Helping Hands" vests taking our lunch break sitting on some boulders... No wonder they call Boulder, Co... Boulder. Because there are boulders everywhere!!!
Here is a group of us missionaries working on a home where a mudslide is literally up against their home. Let me tell you, it is so hard standing on a mudslide on a side of a mountain. But we are slowly making progress!!!!
Hna Mangum's mom sent us some crochet stuff so Hna Mangum has been teaching me. Pretty cool, huh? Never thought I would be able to do that. But it is really fun and easy and stress relieving!
There is a rock wall that we built all in one afternoon. The man was so grateful. He was working all by himself trying to move a mudslide that destroyed his entire backyard. It would have taken him months... We were able to achieve victory in about 8 hours of work!!!
