Colorado is beautiful :) Or at least Boulder is! haha The trees are changing colors and they are all starting to fall. it is beautiful. I love it. It reminds me of being at home in the fall. We asked the Engstrom Family if we could rake up their leaves and Sister Engstrom said of course. We had a blast raking up the leaving and serving others. We ended up raking the neighbors yard too. So much fun :) Although, I should have taken a picture walking out of the house this morning... There are about twice as many leaves on the ground. I guess that just means more service for us :) and cute pictures!
Also, we had a Ward activity on Saturday night. It was amazing. We did a Chili- Cook off and Trunk-or-Treat. It was amazing. We had just over 200 people there and about 50 of them weren't members of the church. It was amazing. And the chili was fantastic! And I wish I would have taken pictures of the costumes. There were some really cute ones. One family, their son was Sully and there 3 month old daughter was Mike from Monsters Inc. Seriously so adorable. but the one that won in my heart was this 7 yr old little boy who was Clark Kent as Super Man. He had a pair of fake glasses, a white dress shirt and dress pants and a Super Man shirt underneath. Super unique how he did it.
But the best part of the Ward activity was that the night before we had invited a lady who we do service with to come with us and she came!!! Best day ever. We have been helping her with her house for a month now and she and her husband are the greatest. We spent 3 days up at her house in the mountains last week trying to get things good to go. And Friday night Hna Mangum and I were prompted to invite her to the activity and she was delighted. It was such a special experience for Hna Mangum and I and I loved it! Her husband was going to come but he had to stay home with their son because he was sick. But Carole came and she was the life of the party. She mingled with everyone! It was amazing. It really amazed her how so many families were there. I think it really made an impact on her. She also stayed and helped us clean up and she loved how organized the take down was and how everyone knew what to do. I think in the next few weeks we are going to invite her to church. Unfortunately, Hna Mangum and I can't teach them but we are going to be life long friends with them so we'll let the elders handle this one. Last night we actually stayed and had dinner with them after we had helped clean some stuff out in their garage and Mike said that Hna Mangum and I are now a part of the family and they have adopted us. They love all the other missionaries who come and help but we are the ones they feel that they truly needed to meet. Such a tender moment for us. I love service!!!!
Also this week, Hna Mangum and I went and visited with a lady who used to house the missionaries and she has a mini fridge that they had and she gave it too us. Holler for more fridge space!! We just had one little hiccup. We thought we would be able to fit it into our car but nope. It wouldn't budge. And we needed to be home very soon and we had no idea what to do. We ended up calling this amazing family in our Ward who has a truck and they were able to come get the fridge and take it to our house. What a blessing!!!! And while waiting at the car for them to come, Hna Mangum exclaims," Hey look its a shooting star." And you all know I was excited! I love shooting stars. Anyway, I was a little sad because I figured it would be gone by the time I turned around to see. But nope. Tender mercy of God. I turned around and it still went for another few seconds... And we saw it break into multiple little pieces. So it was like seeing 4 shooting stars instead of just one. Turns out that it was actually a large meteor and someone said it had been on the news. How awesome. Nothing like being in the right place at the right time :)
Heavenly Father has really blessed my life this last week. I have seen His hand in my life and in the missionary work quite a bit. It has been such a blessing. I have also learned a lot of how I want my life to be like when I grow up. My family has always been super important to me but on my mission I have learned that with out them, I am nothing. I am so grateful for everything you all do for me. Thanks for you love and support. You all are in my prayers.
Con amor,
Hermana Jarvis

Hna Seaborn's birthday lunch :) Unfortunately, I have lost all my teeth... I don't know what happened. It must be all that soup and salad I ate at Olive Garden!

This is Hna Mangum and I on our way to stake conference :) Gotta love it!

Hna Mangum and I were on our way home from doing service in the mountains and while we were driving through Boulder we came across this boat :) I loved it. Tell Ruckus and Cali that I miss them <3
Dessert from the Ward trunk or treat. Yummy
