Well I am gonna start from the beginning:
Last Monday we went and played mini golf!!! Super fun :) Sister Mangum only beat me by 3 strokes! And she golfed in high school. It was a super great and crazy day :)
(Sister Mangum and I having a blast)
This is me on a mushroom!! Sister Mangum and I just couldn't resist!!! It just looked so much fun to sit on a giant mushroom!
(I love Meagan's red shoes.)
And who can resist a traditional jumping picture?! not me! And this was on the first try!!! It doesn't really look like I left the ground but trust me, I was basically flying through the air! (Also if you notice the clouds in the background, this was the day that the crazy rain began to pour!)
The next adventure of the week was ZONE CONFERENCE!!! What what!! Right here... Now this is a good lookin' zone. President almost cancelled it because of the rain that we were getting! How crazy. But he didn't. The meeting still went on which was a blast! We had a total of 3 zones at the conference so it was 3 times this big :) Super fun. We learned a lot of wonderful things and it really helped me to build my enthusiasm for the work. We also received permission to get out and help those in need from the flood. Which I was so excited for! (Keep in mind that it has been raining every day since Monday and zone conference was on Thursday)
(Sister Mangum and I at the Zone Conference)
Here is a picture of one of the areas that we ran into flooding. Thankfully it wasn't deep but it kinda looks like it because the water was so muddy.
I don't have any of the pictures from us working but one of the sisters is going to send them to me. We got out and helped everyone on Friday and we stayed out all day Saturday pulling out wet carpet, shoveling mud from driveways and porches, and we went out on Sunday too. Today we are only taking a half pday so that we can get to work and help others with their homes. I have never seen anything so crazy in my life but I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to serve.
Wow... Sister Mangum's mom sent her some pics of the damage here in Colorado... It is crazy!!!! We don't get to watch the news and so I don't get to most of what is going on so if you see some crazy pics send them to me cuz I want to see them. I have a feeling my life for the next few weeks is going to be crazy!!!!!!
I love you all! I am so grateful that you all are safe and sound and that you all send me letters and emails. I am so grateful to have the gospel in my life. I know that the only thing that truly matters in this life is our relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and our families. I am so grateful for my family. For the love and support they give me and for the things they have done for me. There is no greater family than the Jarvis Family!!!! I love you all! Be safe. I hope you enjoy the pics. I kinda stole Jess' idea for the week!
Con amor,
Hermana Jarvis
