And I Think to Myself... update for Jessica 8/14/13

What a Wonderful World!

Buon Giorno tutti!

I hope you're all doing well, living it up! This last week was absolutely incredible! I'm not even sure if I can truly put it into words but I'll try!

SHOUT OUT TO MOM!! HAPPPPPYYYYYY BBBBIIIIRRRRTTHHHDDAAYYY!!!!!!!!!! FELICE COMPLEANO AND TANTI AUGURI!! LOVE YOU!!

Last week we had zone conference in Pordenone which was great! I love as missionaries that we are able to meet together and learn from each other. It is so nice to learn from people who are going through the same things as you! And it really gets you pumped up to go back to your city and just do it. Get to work! And I got to get mail which was just presh. Thank you everyone who sent me a letter! It seriously meant so much! I know that it is expensive and it's a sacrifice so thank you! You're all gems!

This week we had the Sister Training Leaders come for a "double scambio" or double exchange. I was companions with Sorella Gomez and it was great! We always say here that miracles happen on scambios and it's so true! We were able to teach a few lessons together and it really is helpful to see another missionary work. Sorella Gomez is one of the most loving people too! She gave us so many ideas for the work here in Mestre and answered a lot of questions I had. I love her passion for the work and it really inspired me to keep it up! To love every day that I have to be a missionary!

We had a huge miracle last week! We got permission to teach an Italian class! Yep, that's right. Italian class in Italy. We have a lot of members and investigators who aren't from here and they can't fully participate in the ward without being able to speak the language. But after many prayers and fasting we will be starting tonight! I am so excited! I truly believe this will help me with my Italian too. What better way to learn or practice than to teach, right?

My companion, Sorella Morley, and I have been striving to be more unified in our companionship. It has been so wonderful! When you start praying for someone else more than yourself, you just love them! We have seen such a change in our teaching and in just working together. Everything about the work is more enjoyable too because we're always having fun! We don't get discouraged by rejection because every opportunity to talk to someone or to lead by example is a planted seed. People are always watching you when you have a name tag and it's a wonderful thing. It gives you even more reason to step up. I represent my name, the Jarvis name, but I also represent my Savior's. I am so lucky to be a missionary and I love this call so much! After we are baptized we take upon us our Savior's name and agree to be witnesses for him at all times. We are all enlisted whether we have a name tag or name :)

I love you all and hope you're just absolutely great! The picture attached is with the Sister Training Leaders. Yes. I look a hot mess but it is so hot here. Sorry :/ hehehe. It's Sorella Morley, Beus, Me, and Gomez.

Vi voglio bene!

Sorella Jarvis
