It's a New Year!- Elder Jarvis

-->
I hope everyone had a great New Year!!! Did you all chose a New Year’s resolution? Jared did and he never does! He will be working harder to learn Spanish and try to become closer to the members in his areas. He knows this will help him teach better and it will improve his opportunity to share the gospel. They have another new family that they are working with. Jared is extremely excited about them because they have such a strong desire to share the gospel. They have taught them very solid lessons and everyone understands! They’re learning and wanting to know more and more. Elder Jarvis loves watching the spirit guide them. They ask when Elder Jarvis and Elder Neves can come back! It’s great!
Jared was very sick over Christmas but is finally coming around to feeling better. He thinks he lost about 5-10 pounds but no worries. He’s pretty sure he gained it all back the other day when Elder Steinfeldt ordered them all pizza thanks to his mom. A family that they had been visiting gave them three board games, which were Phase 10, Sequence and Guesstamation. I think he said Sequence is his favorite. They weren’t to go out after 6pm on New Year’s Day so they played the board games. Jared enjoyed them all and especially enjoyed having a evening off because he was able to get some rest and get to know his companions a little better.

Jared is super excited for Jessica’s mission call! He can’t wait to hear her speak Italian and they can attempt to understand one another!

Elder Jarvis has fallen in love with the salsa that a member makes there. The familia Malonado made barbacoa tacos and burritos for them. He’s very eager to learn to make it himself! I think Arizona is treating him well  : )
Well, That’s it for now. I hope you all enjoy hearing all about the Jarvis missions! I know I do!
