Jared's First Update!

Well, since the idea was recently brought up, we are a little behind on updating everyone. My name's Carra and I will try to keep everyone updated with Jared. He only has three days left in the MTC. It's crazy how fast the time has gone. Jared has had an amazing time there. Although, he has gotten hurt but has also fully recovered. He was playing basketball and got hit in the chin. The Doctor did an X-Ray and it showed no clots or fractures. He did have whiplash and a few busted facial nerves which caused minor facial sensation issues.  He loves all of his companions and is super grateful to be serving the Lord. He has gotten to see his sister, Hermana Jarvis, several times and enjoys seeing her so happy. He was a host this past week for an Elder coming from Virginia. We're from Virginia! :) That was really cool. The Elders brought 5 large bags with him and Jared said they had a really hard time trying to find where to put stuff. He also said it was very funny because no one really brings that much stuff. Jared has picked up on the Spanish very well by now. They had a member of the 70 come with his wife and they bared their testimonies in Spanish. Jared said he understood almost all of it. There are so many stories to tell but I'll leave you with this for now. I'll try to write weekly but forgive me if I can't. Feel free to ask any questions!!!
