The life of a missionary update 4-4-16

This week was pretty good! Still getting to know the area and all the
members. I've been working hard and still amazed on how much of being
an example can have an effect on one person. You never know who is
watching or listening in and formulating their opinions. Just trying
to be an example always!

This week was pretty hectic! Tuesday, I ran another district council.
I thought it pretty well!! District councils are fun to do after you
receive the revelation on what to do... I also went on an exchange
with Elder Smith. He is actually from Virginia! Vienna to be exact. We
had some good talks about good ol' Virginia. Planning on making some
trips for Vegas reunions! I learned a lot from that elder. He was a
zone leader, district leader, and trained! So, I learned as much as I could from him! Taught
me so much and I am grateful!

Thursday and Friday were just normal missionary days. Stress, peace,
and revelation for others! It's pretty cool this is one of the only
times I will be able to receive revelation for someone else! Think
that is so cool! Revelation is cool enough. Getting to know my
companion and talking to everyone I see about Jesus is pretty much
what I've been doing!

Saturday and Sunday consisted of general conference!!!!! Whew,
revelation received, prayers answered, and rebuked just enough! It was
a great general conference! Especially since I am a missionary! Also,
Saturday morning we got a mini missionary! His name was Scott Barney
and he pretty awesome. I gave him a tie with a condition he can't wear
it till his farewell talk! It was a pretty awesome tie too! The
biggest miracle was we knocked this door a week ago and the man
answered and said come by next Saturday. So, we stopped by Saturday
and apparently the day before he talked with his sister about asking
the missionaries to come give him a blessing. Then, we knocked the
door the next day with no notice. Turns out he is a Less Active member
that was feeling like he needed to come back. We can help out with
that! Then, he has 2 kids that want to be baptized and his other
daughter has 3 kids unbaptized. Exact obedience brings miracles! Love
you guys, have a great week!!!!
