This was a pretty tough week. I went on two exchanges this week!
Tuesday to Wednesday I was with Elder Smith. He is the one from Vienna
Virginia. He is Spanish speaking, so I went on a Spanish mission for
the day! It was quite hilarious. Just waited to hear the Amens at the
end of prayers and I knew the lesson was over. All the Spanish people
were making fun of me in broken English, because all I knew in Spanish
was hola and coma esta. It was a pretty good time! Then, Wednesday
to Thursday I went with Elder Jones to his area. His area borders the
worst part of the Las Vegas Strip. It was a really good time with him.
He is a zone leader and I learned so much from him. He is one talented
missionary! He gave me a few tips on how to be a great district leader
and just trying to put that into my leadership! When I finally got
back into my area it was so weird. Felt like I was on a long trip and
just got home. Once we did get home we hit streets hard! Just love
doing the Lords work!
Friday, was just a normal missionary day. One that I needed. We just
helped everybody we could at it was pretty dang fun.
Saturday! Birthday was a bit of a downer. I brought the Virginia rain
with me. It poured the whole day. Flash flood warnings started at 1
and it rained till about 7 stopped for an hour and then picked back
up. We tried to go proselyte and I rode my bike through a cross
street, it was basically a small river, just took a bath. So, we just
went back the apartment and changed. It was a pretty good time. For
dinner I bought myself some Dominos and lived it up!!!!
Sunday, the hardest day for a missionary. We rode our bike to every
investigators house to make sure they were going to come. No one
showed up. We had one person just walk into church. Then, another one
of our investigators showed up at 12 and went to the other ward. It
counts in my book. Sunday was a huge blessing though. First time that
every single lesson we had planned actually happened! That is probably
the biggest miracle any missionary could ask for🤗 just a great week
minus the rainy birthday.
