Monday we get a call from our bishop that the member that basically
does everything in the ward is not allowed to come out with us
anymore. Quite ticked off. Oh well, time to annoy the ward with mass
texts and phone calls to give us rides everywhere! Our p-day ends at 6
and we proselyte the rest of the night! We start riding down to the
far reaches of our area for a lesson. Bike breaks... Sorry JJ I broke
it. The gear shifter snaps off and gets caught in my wheel and I
almost flip. Great time to a great day! So, a member picked us up and
drops us off at home. I was fed up with the day, so we went to Taco
Bell and I dropped $20 on food. I was a happy boy☺️ then, a member
gave me a bike to borrow while I'm in the area. Also, the Spanish
elders who have a car gave us a ride home!
Tuesday, we had district council, which I made all of it up 30 minutes
before it stated. It's a two hour meeting. Whoops. Then, we ate at
Cafe Rio. Eat there so much. After that I went on exchanges with Elder
Buzan! We went hard in the paint! He has been out 22 months and knows
exactly what to do. So we went on splits and felt good to just do
missionary work without having to pull someone! It was a great night.
Met this woman that tried to argue with me on how our church isn't
true. I was surprised. Kept my temper and confounded the wise. It was
a super awesome experience and just so spiritual. She was mad, but I
just told her the truth and she didn't want to except it.
Wednesday, was just another day in the hood. Missionary work and stuff!
Thursday was cool. We had a lesson with Marlin, who is a boss, and
during the lesson a car rolled up and just started shooting at a
house. We went inside and left the situation. Cool experience though.
Friday, was a normal Friday of finding and teaching. Planning and
setting goals.
Saturday!!!!! I got picked up by the Davis'. One of the best families
ever!!! We drove to Henderson for one of my baptisms. I got to see
Elder Ruska, my trainee, and Elder Hovey, who is being trained by
Elder Ruska, and it was awesome. The baptism was quite an experience!
First person that I have baptized Alexus! It was great. The
font didn't get filled up all the way so it was a long way down. Then,
we forgot to turn the A/C on so 50 people in the relief society room
with hot water on the other side, in the desert.... Good times! Got to
see so many people and catch up! It was great. I got to say goodbye to
the Ramirez family! They were in Chile when I got transferred and I
loved that family. So it was pretty awesome! We headed home and Sister
Davis bought us Cane's and a chocolate shake and had a great rest of
our day. It was a great week in the least! Love you all, thanks for
all the well wishes!!!
