Week 1 District Leader update 3-28-16

This week was a hectic one. Just lots of things to get done and no
time to do them!

Tuesday was transfers. Transfers are always fun. My companion, Elder
Young, didn't show up to the meeting place till 12. I was there at
nine. So, I just talked with missionaries I served around till he
came. All the new district leaders for this transfer had a meeting at
2, so I went to that to figure out how to be a District Leader. It is going to be a
fun time. For dinner, a man gave us $100 bill and said it was on him.
Okay:) we ate good and gave the rest to the waitress.

Wednesday I went on exchanges with an elder that has been in the area
awhile. He taught me the works on what to do and how to do it. Really
good day! We taught some lessons and got to know the area a bit.

Thursday we ended exchanges and we worked all day. We stopped by all
of our investigators to get to know them! The teaching pool is pretty
great, gonna have a lot of fun in this area!!

Friday... my first district council... It was AWESOME. My district is
pretty great and we set up our vision and some goals to work on
throughout the transfer! Then, our mission is trying out this thing
called a rover. So, a companionship of elders goes out and helps a
zone out in anyway possible for a week. Elder Sawyer came out with us
and taught us so much! It was great.

Saturday, was good we met with some more of our investigators. First
day we proselyted for the whole day! We are going to need more days of
that!

Sunday we were finally able to meet the whole ward. It was great!
Church makes everything better! Being surrounded by saints is the
best! We had a planning session after church, Elder Young and I. We
set goals for the transfer and made plans to reach those goals. After
that we go more relaxed knowing everything is organized.

This week was hectic. It was tough. Through reliance on reading
scripture and praying daily you can overcome just about anything.
Looking through the hard times you see the Lord's hand in everything.
The trials of your past have just been preparing for the trials you
have now. God just works so simply when you think about it. Might look
like chaos to us, but it's perfect order to him! He knows your
situation, he knows your struggles, and he knows what your strengths
are to overcome the obstacles in your path. Depend on him and it will
all work out!

The stratosphere is in my area

After district council
