Sorella per sempre! update for Jessica 4-16-14

Oh my goodness. I could probably count the stressful moments this week but there is no way I could count the miracles!

On Sunday I texted a less-active member who we visit and asked her if she wanted to come to church. We had planned with her that on a Sunday when she could come we would meet at her house, help her get to the car with her son, and ride together. She texted back that night and said she could come so we could meet her at her home. Not even 10 minutes later a member who travels from Firenze called and said there was going to be a national sciopero (strike) which means no trains. In Montevarchi nothing happens for the sorella without a train. But I was like, "Ah, that's fine. We've got a ride. No big deal!" It wasn't until I was kneeling down praying that I remember nothing happens without a train. We had to take the train to even get to the sister's home... So I said another prayer and then went to sleep. We decided to go to the station 30 minutes early in hopes of taking the earlier train. We got to the station and every single train was cancelled. EXCEPT ours. Holy cow. We just kept checking every 5 minutes to make sure it wasn't cancelled and then it just showed up and we were on our way. This sister was coming to church for the 2nd time in a year-- on this particular Sunday. The Sunday in which President Dibb came and was able to bless her little baby boy. It was amazing! I was almost in tears on the train. I know the Heavenly Father answers prayers. If you don't then put Him to the test. If you are obedient and do your part, then just like Nephi Heavenly Father will bless you with whatever you ask.

I am so grateful that we don't do this work alone! We have the Spirit to guide us in all things and we have a companion to keep us company every single day. We will be sisters forever! I love my companion and I love my city!

Thanks for all the love and encouragement! Sorry if I don't get back to you in a timely manner!!

Con affetto,

Sorella Jarvis
