Chooo Chooooo! update for Jessica 4-2-14

Mamma mia! I still feel like I need to finish last week. Or at the very least send all the super awesome pictures we took! I think I just had the best birthday every and I didn't even send a picture of the cake, ciòé, tiramisù. Which, also, I never even though-- after all this time of speaking Italian-- that tiramisù literally means "pickmeup". How cute.

This week was crazy and too fast! I cannot believe that I have already been here in Montevarchi for 1 transfer. I love my dear companion Sorella Yost so much and now she's on her way to her next city. Montevarchi is her first city so you could say she's kinda freakin' out a bit haha. I have been so blessed to have such an amazing companion! She has taught me so much every day and we have just loved being together! I was her first companion after her trainer so it's really like a big sister relationship! She reminds me so much of Jess too! One of the coolest things I have learning from her? Teaching lessons on the train. But not just when we're sitting there but actually doing it as 'finding work' diciamo..It's crazy because our area is so big it's like casually taking the train to Charlottesville every day is just normal.Sorella Yost is not afraid though. In this last transfer alone her language has improved so much! She is gonna do amazing things in Alessandria. Woo!

The other day we had the most awesome lesson with a woman on the train! She was from Rome and she spoke 4 languages. She was so grateful too when we prayed with her! Precious. We taught 3 train ticket checkers in 1 week! And they all came to us. They just always say "siete brave ragazze!" "You're such great kids!" They see a lot of different people on the train every day...

My new companion is Sorella Condie. This is really crazy because I have known about Sorella Condie my entire mission. I lived with Sister Ball who was in the same MTC district, then I was companions with Sorella Nelson and Sorella Hallum both from that same district and while in Bergamo Sorella Roth was in our district. Now I will be companion's with Sorella Condie from that same MTC district. There is only 1 other sister from that group who I have not been with. It's crazy haha.

The strangest thing about coming to a new city is it not being "your city". But it's crazy how knowing that Sorella Yost is leaving this precious city in my hands it truly is mine. I love these people so much and I am so excited to continue working here as well! Today we spent our day walking to a castle with the branch presidents wife and then making homemade pizza. Just wonderful.

Have I told y'all I love being a missionary. 'Cause I really feel like my life has purpose every day in a way I never imagined before.

Statemi bene!

Love,

Sorella Jarvis
