This is going to be a short email. I don't know what's going on but my pinkie
finger don't like me any more and really hurts when I type for too long.
This week was a week of miracles for me. I don't know what it was but
Heavenly Father seemed to be answering every prayer that I had. It was a crazy
week to be a Sister Training Leader because we had a couple of exchanges and one
sister who ended up in the hospital (but don't worry! She is doing well.)
I went to Fort Morgan Friday night to Saturday night and let me tell you
there is a reason they call it "Fart Morgan" haha There are a lot of cows!
Phew.... Sister Hoer, who is my Sister Training Leader companion, and I made the
hour drive to do exchanges with 2 amazing sisters. They had appts scheduled for
us right from the get go! A Spanish lesson that I went to and a less active
family for Sister Hoer to visit. The Spanish lesson was amazing! The gift of
tongues is real. I haven't taught a lesson in Spanish for probably 3 months or so
and I was really nervous but I knew Heavenly Father would give me the words to
say. And He did. I was speaking Spanish like I never had before. I was brave
enough to ask questions and the sister that I was companions with was amazing.
She teaches by the spirit like no one else I have seen. I loved it! Also, in
that exchange between the 2 companionships we found 1 new investigator, 6
potential investigators, 7 return appts, and a total of 6 lessons for the day
and 8 for the entire exchange. The sisters had a goal for 20 lessons this week
and we were able to help them reach that goal and push past it. What an amaZing
miracle. The Lord truly is preparing the hearts of His children to hear the
message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
Also, I am really excited for this week. I get to go on exchanges with the
hermanas in the Spanish branch :) Which means that I get to see some of my
family from the beginning of my mission. What a tender mercy! And Sister Hoer
and I are going to the temple on Saturday! I am so happy. I also get to be
companions with Sister Hoer for a few days this week and I have never met anyone
like her. It is almost like I have known her my whole life but just needed
the mission to be able to be introduced to her.
I hope you all are having a wonderful week and will continue to have an
awesome week! Love you all! Pray for and expect miracles to happen.
Con carino,
Hermana Jarvis
