my week has been crazy the detail will follow. I have a ton of pictures to show everybody. I'll figure out how to send them all.
3/11 So we have been teaching this girl for a few weeks now. she was Atheist, but now says she has faith. This past week we were teaching a lesson and her little brother went missing. We wondered around for a little while. I asked her to say a prayer. She didn't want to, but then asked for help to find her little brother. It was super spiritual. We walked outside and within 30 seconds he was found. Really cool how she got her answer like that. and that fast.
During the Week- We got called by the Hermanas because they needed help with an investigator. They don't have the sacerdocio so we needed to go. THEY WANTED US TO PERFORM AN EXORCISM! It was crazy I really didn't believe in this stuff before the mission. Just stupid people doing stupid stuff...drugs. TOTALLY believe in that stuff now. evil spirits, Witchcraft and blackmagic is totally real. This lady definitely has a demonic possession. Before the blessing Elder Neves asked her to say Jesus Christ. She said she could. He said say it. Her personality changed. Got cold. She starting asking why are they here. I don't need a blessing. Crazy stuff. During the blessing she started moving and wobbling like in the movies... After the blessing the really stuff happened. She sat in the chair and she started choking. like someone full on hands around the neck. barely could talk. whispered out i'm choking and drowning. Yeah NUTS.
3/17 We had a baptism this past sunday, yesterday. It was awesome. We've only taught him for 21 days, exactly 3 weeks. He had like 40 family members show up. It was crazy. It was very spiritual. His family basically did everything in the baptism presentation. The missionaries have to do a talk while the people are changing. We had to change ours b/c no investigators showed up. WE MADE IT UP ON THE SPOT. It went great. Super Awesome. We have a goal for 37 in the next 9 weeks. Pray for that.
3/17 We received the Standard of Excellence. It's super hard to get. It is a great accomplishment. took us right up to the last 2 hours on sunday to get it. We needed one more member present and had to scramble to find one. Super great!
