"Made it through my first week!" Email from Sister Jarvis 2/5/13

Made it through my first week! Wow! It sure went by fast. I can hardly believe I have already been here a week :) Greeley is super great! Although it stinks super bad! (Because of nasty cows) and sometimes I turn into a chicken when we are tracting trailorhoods at night. But I always feel protected! So you don't have to worrry about me!

I love being a missionary! I could go without waking up at 6:30 in the morning but I am slowly getting use to it. I pray every night for my sleep to last long and to be able to fall asleep fast and let me tell you! My prayers are always answered! I am super blessed!

Hna Earl is my trainer and she is super great! She has only just finished her training and is already a trainer and she rocks at it! I am super lucky! It was hard because in my mission there are only 30ish Spanish speakers and there were 6 Sp SIsters and 2 went home and 1 only has one more transfer left so she couldnt train.... So there wasnt much of an option but I am super grateful!

Saturday was an exhausting day! We helped 2 different families move. The Taylor family is in our rama (branch) and it would have been great except that now of their stuff was packed so it was an adventure! haha we just kinda threw stuff into the backs of trucks...It was kinda fun! The other one is actually an investigator of Hna Earl and I. His name is Domingo and he is getting baptised in 2 weeks! I am so excited for him! And hopefully this week we can start to teach his mom and in the next few weeks try and get some lessons in with his brother. He is a great missionary already! He loves church and he brings 3 to 4 of his neices and nephews every Sunday! It is pretty great!

The work is going really well! And I am starting to get more comfortable knocking on doors. It is super intimidating but the more you do it the better you get at it.

I am excited for this week! We are hoping to get more active in visiting less active families and working with the members more. Which is fun and where we get some really wonderful referrals. Always be looking for ways you can help others come unto Christ and dont be afraid to give the missionaries a name! It would be super helpful to them!

It is fun living with members. I thought it would be strange but it is nice to have a place to do your laundry and it is a more homey atmosphere which is really nice. And Sister Cluston makes us breakfast sometimes! Tomorrow is avocado breakfast pizza! I am super excited! Eating with members in the branch is also super fun! They make some really yummy food and I am super grateful! I missed eating salsa and chips at the MTC and I finally have some spice back in my life! So cant complain there

I miss you all so much and I am so grateful for everything you do for me!!! I love this Gospel and I love serving Heavenly Father. To have a knowledge of this Gospel and to live worthy of the Holy Ghost is such a protection in this crazy world.

I love you all very much!
Les amo,
Hna Jarvis
