Hola familia!
Como estan?! (How are you all?) I miss you all super a ton! I cant believe Gabbie had her bday?! What in the world! Did you get my card?! Hope so!
I got a letter from Emma this week! I almost cried, I was so happy!!! It was the only day that I got mail and I had about 6 or 7 letters! I was super grateful!
Umm so I am pretty sure everyone can still dearelder me because I got a dearelder from Courtney this week so keep them coming :)
Also would someone be able to get me Emily Gum's address? I have been wanting to write her a letter.
Mission life is wonderful! Last Monday was rough because I got a super random migraine. Probably one of the worst ones since high school... I couldnt open my eyes because the lights hurt so bad... and it was dark outside. I felt like I was gonna be sick... Strangest feeling ever. Sadly I wasnt able to teach that night so we rescheduled our 3 lessons for the day and went home early and I slept off the migraine. Luckily it helped and I have only had little headaches here and there since then.
Tuesday was awesome! Heavenly Father was looking out for Hna Earl and I because we were able to have 5 lessons that day! So awesome. We were almost able to make up for everything we missed on Monday. And we were prompted to go visit Hna Saucedo from the rama (branch) and it turns out that she really needed some company. She threw out her back and wasnt able to move around. That was really great getting to visit her. And she is super wonderful. She helps me a lot with my Spanish. A lot of the people I meet understand how it feels for my to not be able to speak Spanish because most of them have the same experiences with English. So I am pretty lucky!
This weekend we had Confrencia de Estaca (Stake Conference) It was super wonderful! Most of it was about missionary worK! President and Sister Toombs were 2 of the speakers so that was pretty great to see them. Sister Toombs told me that she was able to talk to mom this past week so that was pretty cool to hear.
Life is pretty wonderful right now! We have had some pretty wonderful experiences this week :) On Saturday we taught a man on his doorstep for 45 min and I thought I was going to freeze to death, it was so so cold but I survived and we were able to extend a baptismal invitation and date. So we are going to be able to teach him and prepare him for baptism. That was a really neat experience.
We were also about to meet with Christina and Jose and share a message with them. They were really having a hard time because they had just found out that they were getting laid off from their jobs because the company isnt doing well enough... SO they are now trying to find jobs. It was cool because we were able to tell them about a class that a member of the church puts on to discuss talents and helps you prepare to find a job. It was pretty neat because once we told them about the class and they might be able to get some help to make a new resume, they totally opened up. We taught them about the Book of Mormon and how Heavenly Father is aware of all of out difficult times and as we learn to rely on Him, we will be supported in our trials. It is really cool to see how no matter what you are experiencing... there is always a way to apply the Gospel of Jesus Chrsit to our lives to help us in one way or the other. We are going to meet with them this week and see how everything is going for them! We also were able to set them for a baptismal date to work towards so we have a lot to do. It is so fantastic.
I love missionary work. I struggle a lot of the times with words to say or how to structure a sentance but I am slowly learning that if I am struggling, bear my testimony of something I do know because that will always invite the Spirit even if I dont know what to say. The Spanish is coming along pretty well. I am able to understand more and more and it was super nice that Stake Conference was in English. I was so grateful. But it is fun to be able to speak more and more to the members!
The food is super good! I love all the spicy salsas. And the other night we ate with a family from the Branch and Hna Laos made this amazing fish for dinner. SO DELICIOUS! It had a really subtle white cheese sauce and red and orange peppers. I was in Heaven. Especially after a long day of working. And they have a different type of hot chocolate. It is kinda strange but after a day of being in the cold, you really just dont care... it is called "Abuelita" and it has some type of spice in it. Like nutmeg or something. I am learning to love it! Also our Elders are sweethearts! Elder Medrano and Elder Parker. (Elder Parker was in my district at the MTC) Saturday night they left homemade chocolate chip cookies and a tin of mint hot chocolate on out door step with a little note. It was super sweet!
I love being a missionary!!!! IT is by far the coolest thing I have done so far and I am learning so much everyday! This Gospel is amazing and I am so grateful to have it as a integral part of my life!!!
Love you all and miss you very very very very much! Have a wonderful and safe week! Keep it real :)

Awesome! So glad things are going well for you. You may know already but a couple updates ... The Loomis family is in W'boro now, so Bro. Cypher was called to be 2nd Counselor in the BP. We had Branch Conference yesterday. Sac speakers were Sis. Fordham, Pres. Jensen, and Pres. Carter. It was great (of course). And of course we had an awesome potluck afterwards ... yummmmm. We're hearing that there at TONS of missionaries getting ready to "hit the streets". I wonder if we'll get Sisters. Wouldn't that be awesome for us to have Elders, Sisters, and a senior missionary couple?! Anyway, keep up the great work and I'll try to pop back from time to time (if my memory holds up ) to give you updates. Hasta la pasta!
