Monday we got to go to the Hoover Dam! It was freaking awesome. A lot
of the members work there so we got to do some extra stuff most people
don't get to😛 it was really fun!
Tuesday was normal ha ha. We just had district council, then went to
work! I went on exchanges with Elder Hunter! Mostly tracting and
lessons in the evening! We set one investigator with a baptismal date!
He went to church last Sunday and he realized this is true! That was
awesome! Then a member took us out to dinner at Cafe Rio. It was okay.
Chipotle is still better!!
Wednesday was super fun! We had our Christmas Conference! So, they
had a talent show at the end of it. I was on exchanges and Elder Hayes
said I would do a yam sesh. He never told me I was doing that. So
Elder Wasden said you still good to yam, that morning? I thought he
was joking. Then, they called my name! I was like what the heck. So, I
explained what yamming is. Threw one down. What my mission has taught
to wing it every time. Fake it till you make it.
Thursday was a weird day. It was high 60's and the trees were changing
color. The whole day I was thinking it was late September in Virginia.
Friday we had the Black Canyon Christmas dinner. We got so many
leftovers it was crazy! The fridge is packed. Friday's are our weekly
planning days so not much happens on Fridays.
Saturday!!! Some changes are happening. So we crashed the Buchanan
Chapels Christmas breakfast. A member of that ward invited us to go.
We couldn't turn a member down... or free food. Then, we had transfer
doctrine! Drum roll please. I'm getting transferred to Black Mountain!
My companion has only been out 1 transfer so I'll finish up his
training! I'm so nervous about this! Also my stl(Sister Training Leader),
Sister Navarro, she became the new mstl (Mission Sister Training Leader).
So, she was telling me if I do good this transfer
she is going to make me train next transfer. I'm gonna do bad cus I
don't want to train. Then, that evening we had the Oasis Park
Christmas dinner! 2 of our investigators showed up!! That was sweet!
Sunday I said goodbye to everyone! It was sad. But, I'm ready to see
what my mission will be like!! What kind of missionary am I going to
be?!? Guess we will find out! I went by a couple members houses to say
bye. Then, I met with the Newburns because they couldn't meet tonight.
I love this family!!! I taught them the Ten Commandments and shared my
favorite scripture! It was great! They said they would take me out to
lunch in a few weeks!
I'm sad to say goodbye to Boulder City! It was a great place to start
my mission! The work here is great! But tough. I'm super nervous to go
out and train, but the lord says I'm ready. So I guess I'm ready. I
can't wait to see what I really know. What I really can do. What
missionary I will become. I'm going to be out of my comfort zone and
I'm gonna grow a lot. And I'm going to be relying on my savior every
step of the way, because I have no idea what I'm doing😂 I know that
all I have to do is pray and ask for help. I know he will answer, I
know he will strengthen me. I know that he lives and that this is his
gospel. I love it. I'm so grateful for it. I'm trying my best to live
it. In my saviors name, Jesus Christ, Amen.
