I don't remember what happened this week so I'm just gonna write about the
baptism!
Wednesday evening, around 5:45, we get a text from bishop saying,"Have you
planned the baptism?" We were so confused?!? We were expecting to move the
baptism back a few weeks because of word of wisdom(wow) issues. We sent a text
to bishop a long the lines of we will figure it out tonight.
We had a lesson with the investigators right after the text. We asked them
about the baptism and they said they will live the WOW and law of tithing!!!!!
We flipped out inside!!! For the rest of the week we're setting up the plans,
getting the program prepared, and reserving the font! It was crazy!
Saturday came. We had to get there 3 hours early to fill the font! It took
all three hours! So long... We did weekly planning and Elder Weber prepared his
talk on the Holy Ghost! It was great! Elder Weber didn't plan his talk at
all๐๐ We got to his part in the program and he just went up there and winged
it! It was the funniest thing ever! He freaked out about not having a sacrament
talk prepared! He walked up there with some swagger and bore his testimony and
the Holy Ghost. It was really great seeing him be able to do that!
It was the best experience to see a husband baptize his wife and daughter!
It was just so great! Then, they are planning to be sealed for time and all
eternity in the temple in a year! Which I will get to go to!!!!!!! FRICK YEAH!!!
#JesusLovesYou
Prayers are heard and answered by our Heavenly Father! We were struggling
with news this week! So, we prayed for specifics. We prayed that we would find a
new investigator on this street with in this time frame! What do ya know! We
found a new investigator on that street and the very end of the time frame! We
met a lady named Christy, who is from North Carolina, who had a friend who's son went on a mission. She was pretty curious and interested about what our
church believes! Set up a return appointment! Guess we will see how that turns
out!
Power of prayer is real! If you ask, you WILL receive, if you knock, he
will answer. All you have to do is ask. Then, look for the answer! The simplest
thing, but yet the hardest! I can testify that God loves YOU. He wants to hear
from YOU. He wants to bless YOU. "Prayer is the act by which the will of the
Father and the will of the child are brought into correspondence with each
other. The object of prayer is not to change the will of God but to secure
for ourselves and for others blessings that God is already willing to grant but
that are made conditional on our asking for them. Blessings require some
work or effort on our part before we can obtain them. Prayer is a form of work
and is an appointed means for obtaining the highest of all blessings." -Bible
dictionary! Just go pray already
