What a week! In which I don't remember:) makes for a great week!
Let's
see, Tuesday we had service! We went and packed food for the
less fortunate
at the Salvation Army. I've done service there before.
The great thing about
it was part of my old zone was there! It was so
fun and great seeing all of
them. Just so fun actually knowing people
in the mission!
Wednesday,
oh Wednesday. We had two of our investigators drop us.
Blah... Don't like
those days. I went on exchanges with elder Branham!
We had a great day! Found
3 new investigators, but in his area! It was
great for him and his companion
though! Furthering the work just feels
great! Exchanges are always fun,
because you learn somebody's whole
life story in a day and then say see ya
the next😂
Thursday? We had district council. I gave a training and only
had an
hour to prepare! It was great! I had no idea what I was saying but
I
guess it worked out! Quote of my life "the world can change a
persons'
behavior, but the gospel can change a persons' nature" mind
blown!
Love it! We did a mini blitz with our zone leaders! That was fun.
Just
tracted for an hour with no luck!!! Mmmmm missionary work so
great!
Friday! I can't remember what we did:) I know something
important:)
but I don't remember what!
Saturday! Our investigators
cancelled on everything and we just spent
the day tracting. We talked with a
potential investigator, checked in
him. His dad thought it was a smart idea
to try and take the Christmas
lights down, in the rain, on the roof, and it
was night time. Oh, he
was in his 70's too. Well, as you can guess, he fell
off. Broke his
back nothing else. Still breathing! So all is
well.
Sunday, more of revelation day:) I love church so much! Only
one
investigator showed up. It's better than none! We had a less
active
family show up! That was great! Actually taking the priest out
for
lessons later this week! I appreciate a love church so much now
that
I'm on my mission! It rejuvenates you for the upcoming hardships
and
trials. Confirms God's love for you! And it's a commandment so you
get
blessings for showing up;P
So the reason I didn't email yesterday
was because we had a mission
tour yesterday. So, a member from the seventy
comes and talks with us.
It was great! I learned so much from him! He knew
his scriptures, the
importance of them, and the importance of inviting people
to read
everyday! Then, after that we had a priest out with us and PUT
IN
WORK. We gave a Catholic a BOok of Mormon! She said she would read
from
it! Then, we helped some people move in furniture set up a
return
appointment! My comp told me they weren't interested the last time
he
talked to them. We got in that door and testified of the truths!
That's
right! Then, we had another lesson we taught them the first
lesson and set
them with a baptismal date! Ugh, work hard (don't play)
work harder! It was
just a great day of diligence, revelation, and
spirit filled
teaching!
Let me tell you that this gospel is true! Christ does live and
the
Book of Mormon is the word of God. You will receive and answer to
your
prayers IF you are sincere, are willing to change after you receive
an
answer, and will continue looking for answers! Setting up good
habits
of scripture study, praying daily, going to church, and following
the
commandments is how you will for a surety receive and answer from
God!
The love he has for you, for me, for everyone is evident in our
daily
lives. Just look and you will see, seek and ye shall find, knock
and
he will answer.
Elder Jarvis
