This week was great! Tuesday a priest came out with us name Austin.
Such a stud. We found 3 new investigators with him! "Oh yeah" cool aid
man voice. He wants to work on being prepared for his mission. He
wants to read preach my gospel before he heads out for his mission.
Elder Weber is a diligent missionary. We rode passed this car and she
opened the door. Elder Weber pulled a u-turn and we talked to her. Her
boyfriend came out and we started talking. They invited us in and we
taught the restoration and gave them a Book of Mormon. Somehow the guy
goes to school in Utah and has never heard of the Book of Mormon. Like
what?!? After that lesson we road our bikes to a referral, knocked on the
door. No one answered, so we jumped back on our bikes. Started riding
and it got really hard to bike. My back tire got a flat. #10 on how
many times I've broken a bike. I hate biking:) so, we knocked so many
members doors and none were home. Some random dude tried to fix my bike, it
didn't work out. Then, we knocked on our last hope. We knocked. Waited...
Knocked again. No answer. We started to walk away and they opened the
door. The member had a pistol in his hand thinking we were trying to
rob the place.😂😂😂 they invite us in and we see his friend who has a
shot gun and we start laughing!!! He gave is a ride home thankfully.
We live 2 miles away from our area. Walking that bike the whole way
would suck.
Friday we had a great Zone Conference! We hiked a mountain!! I've
really missed adventure time with my friends hiking and camping! This
was a different hike though. We talked about Christ's life the way up.
His birth, mortal ministry, death, and resurrection! It was great!
Then, we had Testimony meeting at top, straight spirit! The enabling
power of the atonement is amazing to me. All that it allows us to be
able to do!
That was some highlights! I know God, has prepared me for this area.
I'm here for a reason. He loves me so much that he trusts me with his
work. The hardest thing to do is the to be humble and to work through
the slow and hard times, to reach the happiness and blessings he has
in store. Patience is a virtue or something like that. I have to show
to the lord I'm willing to stay strong through the thick and thin, so
that he can trust me with the people he has prepared.
