It's true! It's true!!! update for Jessica 5-7-14

Oh my goodness! So many emotions! This was a little extra crazy and maybe a little extra amazing! Ok, so I don't really have time to write anything. I've spent my whole email time crying tears of joy!

Ok, last week for Pday we went to Volterra. So crazy! That was where the Volturi is for all you Twilight fans out there. Yes, I went to the clock tower. I think this is the most beautiful place I have ever seen in the whole world!

Thursday we had lunch with our branch president's wife! She served a mission 30 years ago and still thinks about it every day! Her daughter is the one serving in the Washington, D.C. north mission/at the temple right now and is just loving it! It was amazing! She loves her mission so much and she said it has changed every day for the rest of her life. I know it will be the same for me! That's why I need to work harder and appreciate every single day!

Friday we had an amazing English class! No one came ha ha. But then it ended up being our new convert Michel (she's 12) and 2 of our investigators. I love them! No better way to learn another language than to do so in the company of friends. They learned the name of the church in English and I practiced it in Spanish ha ha

Saturday morning we were doing studies when our investigator who lives in our little tiny town called. She said, "So girls, are you coming to eat lunch with us today?" I just laughed and said of course! I love her! We had a great lunch and a message on prayer. We read 3 Nephi 18:19-21 and talked about prayer. They are both catholic but any time we pray together they are so happy. There is nothing like having a conversation with our Heavenly Father!

Sunday we set 2 baptismal dates with our investigators!!! They are the mom and brother of our new convert!! I love them so much and cannot wait to see their smiling faces when they are baptized!

Tuesday we had an AMAZING conferences! Elder Kieran and Snow from the First Quorum of the 70 came with their wives to speak with us since this weekend we will become a stake!! Could I be any more excited/grateful/anxious!? No! It was absolutely amazing! Our mission will officially be the first in continental Europe to be covered in stakes! Elder Snow said that it is called a stake for a reason. A stake means that the gospel is spreading/growing and will not leave. The gospel will never leave this amazing country which has become my home!!! I can't wait for this weekend when we will have our conference and because a stake! We will be able to hear from even more of our leaders!

And today I found out that one of my favorite people in the whole world will be baptized this Saturday! Oh my gosh, it's true! It's true!!!

I am so grateful to serve in this amazing country! I am so grateful for this mission! I look back on the little bit I've been here and I see so many amazing changes in myself and those around me. Thank you for all your prayers! I feel strength from them every day!

Con tantissimo amore!
