Shout out to all you awesome women/mothers/and future mothers! Respect.
This week we had a whole lot of crazy miracles! I know that this has been a
response to our prayers of asking for miracles and we have both decided that we
are going to be dead before our time together is over. Good news! We'll be
together again for one more! Whoop whoop! My last city, Bergamo, was the
smallest zone in the mission with just 2 cities. Now I am in the biggest with at
least 8 cities...Well I just found out that 3 of my favorite sisters our coming
to this zone: Sorella Walch, Sorella Smart, and Sorella Reni! Tuscany is really
blowing up. These sisters are going to do amazing things and I cannot wait to
work with them in our new stake!!
Ok, we're doing this again because it helped me focus.
Thursday: We had one of the best lessons of my entire mission...or of my
life. It got crazy. So we went with our Branch President, his wife who teaches
seminary, and the branch clerk, Alessio. It was just the best lesson. So we went
to the house of 2 of our baptisimal dates and our new convert. The father was
also there but he has never really been our biggest fan... So we invited him to
sit and join with us while we talked but he said no, he was fine where he was.
Then through the loving persistence (tuscan stubborness) of our branch president
he joined us. We talked about following the prophet and how he is a blessing for
all of us. The father told us he was atheist but then it turned out he really
did believe. He just has problems with organized religion. In the end, he asked
us to teach him how to pray so he would be able to on his own. AMAZING!!
Friday morning we had a great lesson! One of our members gave us a referral
a few months back and we have been teaching her. She loves the sisters but she
hasn't always shown great...interest, diciamo. But this week we were able to
have a lesson with the member and our investigator and it was amazing!! We have
never had a lesson with the spirit so strong before. I know that amazing things
are in store for her.
Saturday: We had our last district conference as the districts of Rimini
and Firenze! It was amazing! There just aren't words. This will never happen
again. This is the first stake here in Tuscany and I was here. I have seen the
church grow first-hand on a whole new level! I couldn't be happier!
Sunday morning it was all official!! We were blessed to here from both
Anziano Massimo De Feo and Anziano Snow from the 70. They are definitely men
called of God. It was amazing to participate in the conference speaking 2
languages as well! I love being able to connect to people in their own
languages. It's amazing and I know it a gift from God. Sunday morning I saw one
of the biggest miracles of my whole mission. In Bergamo I worked with a young
woman for a long time. Last week during email time I found out she was going to
be baptized. I would have loved to go to the baptism but I am so far away if
would be impossible. Sunday morning I saw a sister from Bergamo. She gave me a
big hug and was like, "Do you remember Ilaria!? She got baptized yesterday!" I
was like, "Of course I remember, she only changed my life forever!" Then she
points. And I see Ilaria. I just turned, saw her and crumbled into a ball of
tears. She ran over and hugged me and we just cried together. It was so amazing!
I prayed that I would see her again before I left and my prayers were answered
just days later. We sat together the whole conference and we just cried. I love
her so much and am SO HAPPY FOR HER!!! The gospel changes lives and brings old
friends together! These people are changing me. And I am so grateful. I am so
grateful the Lord has trusted me with this amazing and precious children.
I love you all!!
Sorella Jarvis :)
Bliss is the only word I have to describe this life :D
