Every Day is SO Important upfate for Jessica 3-12-14

Oh my goodness.

I never knew that this transfer to Montevarchi we would constantly be in motion. But literally-- everywhere in our area is accessible by train only. It's been crazy but so amazing! We have been working with the families of our new converts and have seen truly amazing progress! The gospel truly does bless families. We have really working on strengthening and growing this branch. One Sunday we had a branch lunch right after church. There is a big table we use as the podium during sacrament meeting that becomes a big table. I was told this week that every other month that everyone sat at the table and they brought the food around. There were so many of us that we didn't even fit! By a lot... We had the table and then another group of people as well. My heart, my heart. I couldn't handle how beautiful it was! Then after everyone was way too full we cleaned everything up and listened to a few musical numbers. It was so wonderful! We may be small in number but we have a lot of love! For food, for friends, for missionary work, for life!

We have been working with the family of one of our new converts and it has been amazing. I know and can see so much that the gospel blesses families. Heavenly Father wants us to be happy, to learn, and to change but He's even happier when we do these things with the ones we love! Families are the greatest thing ever. They are the best unit of support and happiness. The family is the best environment to learn. It has been really amazing to work in this fresh new area. A lot of the people we meet have never heard of the church before or never seen missionaries. Our members have been so happy and so excited to share these things with their friends and family. Saturday night we had a lesson with one of our awesome young women and she decided to bring a friend and then brought her to church. Monday morning we were studying when we got a call from one of our members and she asked us where we were. We said, "well we're home. We're still studying..." She said "perfect! You wanna meet a friend of mine in 30 minutes so you can start teaching her?" Well ok. That'd actually be really great!

Heavenly Father is preparing His children. There are people who just don't know where to find the truth in all of our lives. Jesus Christ, himself, is the head of this church. The Book of Mormon is the proof that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that God still loves us today and calls prophets and apostles to lead and guide us. Yesterday we had an exchange in Pisa with the Sister Training Leaders. One of our girls was to see miracles. And we did. It is always so amazing to go on exchanges with other sisters, even just for a short time, and learn from them. Last transfer and this transfer I did an exchange with a sister in her last transfer. They're like the great wise owls on the old commercials that know all about getting to the center of the tootsie pop. Every day is so important-- so long but so short. It's hard because we choose to come on missions and then after that everything else is completely in the Lord's hands. All the time people say, can you go out? see a movie? can you do anything? No. We can't because we are on the Lord's time. If it's hard that means it's working.

Happy Birthday Hermana Jarvis!

Sorry I'm a bit scatter brained today. But I spent my whole time writing this haha.

Love you all! Statemi bene!

Sorella Jarvis

Last week for Pday we went to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Yes, that's right. Yes. It leans. Yes. It's worth it!
